FLASHCARD PROJECT

One of our new favorite's is a free website, by Microsoft, that enables you to create flashcards. This link will allow you to view the deck. The best feature is the study section. If you are logged in, your students can enter the answers to the questions and study independently. You can create your own user name BUT we've already created a website for the teachers in Hawkins County. We really want every teacher to contribute and publish flashcards that every student can use as a tool for mastery learning. We also know that your time is precious SO we went through the process with several eager aides. A few of them have agreed to start adding to the decks. I discussed this project with a few teachers at some of our schools and they were excited about the possibilities too. Thank you in advance to those of you that have agreed to help us kick this off!

TCAP's are almost here and I think we can get started by building decks that emphasize TCAP criteria. Since this is a public blog, I'll send you the log in information (user name and password) via email. You can add to the decks and use them in centers or for mastery learning. Your students can set their own pace as they study. They will get instant feedback on correct and incorrect answers. You enter the question/answer and you can add audio/images...best of all it's FREE!

TIP: the study feature is case sensitive, make sure you tell your students how to enter text

FYI: the program prompts you to install Silver Light, this will work on your computers NOT your iPads
